STATISTICS

Statistics. When one thinks of the word, numbers and a lot of technical jargon can come to mind. And when one takes a class on said subject, you'd have to expect a lot of those two to come up during discussions. For this term of the school year, I was not wrong. Statistics is a very grueling and mind-numbing sort of thing. One time, as I was reviewing using my professor's powerpoint presentations at home, my mom happened to pass by and saw what I was doing. She said, and I'm going to paraphrase her words, "Those formulas look scary." And right she was. Thankfully, our professor was generous enough to provide sheets with the formulas we needed to use during exams. Of course, these formulas mean nothing if you don't know jack about what all the symbols mean, and when to you use it.

Anyways, I'd like to talk about my time taking a Statistics class. First of, I'd like to point out I messed up in making my schedule this term. My Statistics class happened every Tuesday and Thursday, at around 12:45 mid noon. Now, I messed up in that this is usually the time when most students take their lunch or just chill in between classes. I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to take a class in such a time frame. At the time, I was just aiming ot have a schedule wherein I'll get to go home early. Sooo I basically just crammed my classes to go in a row instead of having breaks between them. Sounds good in theory, right? Well, in practice, not really. How does this affect Statistics? Well, on Tuesdays, I have Swimming early in the morning (smart idea, right?), and this hampers my ability to work for the rest of the day, since not only will I be tired from swimming, but also from the fact I had to get up early in the morning. And on Thursdays, I only have two classes, Statistics and another one right before that one, so I have little time to eat something in between them, so I end up getting hungry right when Statistics roll in.

Sooo, taking all these things into mind, I was not really able to fully... let's say, enjoy, my time while in Statistics. But, regardless, I still liked the class. My professor was very good at teaching, and if I wasn't so tired, I would have even actually been very interested in his lectures. Heck, amidst the sleep-deprived state I was in 80% of the time, I was still able to understand a lot of things he was teaching.

If it wasn't obvious, I sort of crammed all of these things I'm writing down. I procrastinated in writing this journal, which I deeply apologize to whoever that is reading. But anyways, I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless. I hope to take all of the things I learned in Statistics to heart, and mind, so I can use all of them for later things in life. Like thesis. Ugh...

So, what's up (again)?

Yo, it's me. It's been almost... wow, a year now, since I last updated this blog. I wanted to write a lot before but couldn't for... reasons.

So, what have I been doing for the past few months? A lot of things really, but some of them aren't really that interesting. Well, I've been drawing again lately and, honestly, I THINK I've gotten better. I'm trying to get my parents to buy me a "wacom bamboo"(?). They're planning on buying me a cell phone but I think I can ask for a trade. Drawing samples (drawn using GIMP).

Other than drawing, I've begun making AMV's (or GMG's since they're from games). They're not that good but I think they're okay.

Suddenly, sadness...

Today, I just realized my crush won't be in the same school as me anymore this year. I'm so sad. So, so, so, so, SOOOOOO sad. You're probably thinking I should just tell him, don't you? Well I can't. Why? Because:

1. It will freak him out.
2. He's already with somebody else. 
3. We're not that much friends so, just like no. 1, it will freak him out.
4. I don't think it's worth it.

Why wouldn't it be worth it? Well, it's just a little crush. Who knows, maybe I only like him because of how he looks. Not by how he acts. But he doesn't act much of a jerk anyways. Then again, he's not exactly "nice" either. 

I probably should have posted this on Facebook instead. But that would get people to start suspecting something and start asking questions about my crush. Anyways, I hope I get over this soon. And I really hope I don't start missing him. 

What's going on?

I'll tell you what's going on. Summer is nearing its end and it's back to school next week. I was hoping for summer to last a little longer. You know, another month would be appreciated. 
Anyways, my Windows Live Writer wasn't working recently so I'm writing this directly in the website which I have to admit feels "different". It's a shame really. I was about to write a lot more blogs and I was really getting used to using Windows Live Writer. Sigh...
Other than that, school is just right around the corner (I've mentioned that already, right?). As I said before, I am SO not ready for school yet. I don't know why, but summer changed a lot out of me. I've become a little more shy and more "socially awkward" than last year (I think). I just hope I could get over this by next week.
I don't have anything else to say. But I think I'm the only one who kept their blog updated. I mean, this blog was just a school project everyone in my class had to do. But I think it'll be fun having a blog. If I have the time, I'll probably write again soon. 
So, how do I end this blog entry? 
Um, eat healthy foods, take a bath/shower everyday, stay out of trouble, stay in school, and most importantly....... what was I supposed to write? Nevermind. See ya! 

The internet now

Yes, apparently I do hate the internet. Why? I’ll tell you why. A few years ago, I was happy. I was just playing some online games, not caring about anything else for awhile. I suddenly started to get bored so I went browsing over the web to find something fun.

Hours of browsing later, I come across a site called “9gag”. Judging from the logo that says “9gag, just for fun.”, I thought it would be a fun site. I was right. It was full of fun pictures about all kinds of stuff from cats, to rage comics, to other things. I spent almost my entire day just scrolling down from page to page. But lately, I’m not feeling anything fun anymore.

So the time came where I’ve already seen all the new posts, so I decided to spend some times away from 9gag and go to some other sites. A friend of mine found out about me liking 9gag. Well, let’s just say he’s not exactly happy. He said that (his exact words) 9gag is a disgusting Cancer that you just GOT to cut out. I’ve never realized how one person could have that much hatred over one site. But then he says that everyone in the internet hates 9gag. I didn’t want to believe. But he was right, well partially right. Most of the people on the internet do hate 9gag. And they plot to take down the site itself.

Many people from 4chan, tumblr, reddit and funnyjunk are working together to bring 9gag down. Although they weren’t that successful on the first try, they strike again and get their hopes up that they will be successful.

This. This is why I hate the internet now. Back then, I saw nothing but happiness and fun all over the internet, regardless of which site you come from. But now. Now. All I see now is war. Nothing but war. It was bad enough that there were wars in real life. But now, wars are happening on the internet too.

Who is to blame for all this hatred and flame wars on the internet? 9gag? 4chan? No. All of them. All of those people who supported this so called feud between the sites. It’s all they’re fault. I’m sick of it. I’M SICK OF ALL OF IT!! Usually I just ignore all this. But now. I can’t ignore something this big. I just wish they could just get along. But no, they can’t. Idiots, nothing but idiots.     

What’s up?

Hi! It’s me. Guess what? The school year just ended, but this blog shall continue. That’s right, I’m going to keep this blog updated with whatever unpredictable stuff I can come up with. But right now, I don’t really know what to write right now. So, maybe tomorrow I could write something.

Animations

Activity # 35 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

All over the internet, you see animations. (I’m not going to explain what they are because you should know what they are by now)

Animating takes skill and a lot of time to make. Time in making it depends on how long the animation is. People animate in many different ways. There’s the occasional stick figures.

Most stick figure animations on the internet are basically just stickmen beating each other up (kind of like the one above, only a little faster). Stick figures have been around animations a lot nowadays, mostly because they’re the easiest things to animate. Other people take stick figure animating to a new level. Sometimes they make a plot or stories about them too. Another kind of animations are, well, the Japanese anime.

Many people love watching these animes Japanese people make. I don’t really watch them much. Mostly because it takes a long time to load (on the internet). Some people even make fandoms about them too. Dressing up as they’re favorite anime characters or Cosplay as some people call it. Another type of animation is the CG action movies, my favorite.

Dead Fantasy is a good example of a CG action movie. I think mentioned it on a previous blog entry but anyway, CG action movies look more 3D-ish and take a longer time to make and requires full skill and a team of more than just one animator. Dead Fantasy is just one example to this kind of animations. There are a lot more than you think. And the last one is… well I can’t think of anymore. But there are a lot more animations than the ones mentioned above. Why not Google them and watch?

By the way, I started learning how to animate. It’s a lot harder than you think.

Suicidal Tendencies

Yes, you read the title right. Suicidal Tendencies. A lot of people get that feeling. The feeling when you feel like you just want to end it. I’ll be honest, I get that feeling too once in a while. Oh don’t give me that look. I get sad sometimes. Really really sad. Even my friends can’t do anything to change that.

Why do people suicide? That’s a question people ask a lot. Why do they kill themselves? It really depends on the person. Some people just feel really sad. They want to end their misery by not living anymore. Other people don’t want to live. Mainly because of the terrible lives their living in. Some kids suicide because they get bullied a lot. I get bullied a lot too. Others want to kill themselves because they feel unloved. They feel lonely and sometimes they feel worthless. They don’t know what to do with they’re lives anymore so they just end it.

The cause of suicide is still a mystery to everyone. No one can solve, no one can stop it either. Once someone gets that feeling, there’s no stopping.

I apologize if this blog entry gets you down. But I’m just speaking the truth. People die, whether it’s by their own hand or by somebody else's’.

Games that really needed to be a movie

We all play video games, right? And there comes a time when we come across a really cool game. A game that was so cool, that it needed to have a movie but sadly didn’t have one. So, here are a number of games that (in my opinion) should have a movie.

1. Final Fantasy 13

Final Fantasy 13 is the thirteenth (obviously) installment to the Final Fantasy series. The game had perfect graphics, a fast-paced battle system and a good story. Then what’s wrong with it? Too linear and and too many cutscenes. It was more of an interactive movie than an RPG. Which is why it would have been better if Square Enix turned it into a movie instead.

2. Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead is a first person zombie shooting game. Four survivors trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. Just how awesome it would have been if it was a movie. Despite the lack of plot, it would have been still cool if it was.

3. Final Fantasy 6

Yeah, another Final Fantasy. Even though the game was just sprites, the plot and character development seemed like it needed to have a movie. Or, it could be just a CGI kind of movie. I’m just wondering what the characters would look like in 3D.

4. Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger is a role-playing game about a group of protagonists from different time periods working together to fight an alien-like monster that could control time. The game seriously need to be a movie. It had to be CGI because the characters would look so much better that way.

There are other games that would have been cool if it was a movie. But I can’t think of anymore. Also I’m tired.

Dead Fantasy

Activity # 31 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

Dead Fantasy is a fan-made CG action movie series made by Monty Oum. The series is mostly about a group of characters beating the crap out of each other. So far the characters are split up into two Teams:

1. Team Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts Combatants

-Yuna (FF10/FF10-2), Rikku (FF10/FF10-2), Tifa Lockhart (FF7), Rinoa Heartilly (FF8), Kairi (KH), Cloud Strife (FF7) and Vincent (FF7)

2. Team Dead or Alive/Ninja Gaiden Combatants

-Kasumi (DoA), Ayane (DoA), Hitomi (DoA), Rachel (NG), Helena (DoA), Hayate (DoA), Ryu (NG) and Momiji (NG)

Kasumi Alpha (DoA) clones appear in Dead Fantasy 4 but they don’t fight for either team.

I have to be honest, the fights between the two teams seem a little biased. I mean, if you watched the movies you would notice that Team DoA/NG won most of the fights. They were a lot more brutal than the opposing team. Not only that, they had an army of ninjas by their side (yes, it was completely unfair). If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy, take caution while watching. Because they get beat up a lot in the series. Especially Tifa. Out of all the characters, she got the most hits (and she also gave the most hits). But despite that, she still kept fighting.

Dead Fantasy currently has 5 movies. Sad to say Dead Fantasy 6 isn’t out yet. And I don’t think it won’t be coming out anytime soon.

Well, I complain a lot at school. So I guess I should complain about stuff here instead of talking and wasting my voice.

I hate vegetables! I know I sound childish but I just do! I don’t know why I don’t like the taste. Maybe there’s something wrong with my tongue, or is my tongue just underdeveloped? It’s so hot! I hate summer! Well, I don’t hate summer vacation, but why does it have to happen when it’s so hot. I hate it! Why is school so hard? They’re giving us a ton of projects to do in so little time. Well, actually they gave it to us a long time ago, and I just procrastinated. But I still hate it! My Flash Drive isn’t getting detected by the computer! No matter how many times I insert and eject it, it still won’t get detected. And I have a lot of important things in it! Like games and other fun stuff! Did I mention it’s still hot here? I think I’m going to pass out at this rate. I still have a lot more projects to do! Exams are almost here and my parents are pressuring me to do good because if I don’t I won’t be able to have my vacation. I need to study, but I still have other projects to do! I hate this so much!

Okay, that’s all of the complaints I have. I’ll complain more in another blog entry. But that’s it for today.

Gadgets

Activity # 29 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

Gadgets. Yeah, gadgets. They are everywhere. In our homes, in our schools and in some other places too. Gadgets help us all out in there own ways. Most gadgets only have one particular function, others have more than one. The Cellphone is a common type of gadget that we use.

They function as a portable telephone and can sometimes take pictures and/or record videos and other things too. The cellphone changes and becomes more different throughout the years.

Another common gadget that we use is the PSP.

Okay, so maybe it’s not that common. But kids of today are just dying to have one. A PSP (PlayStationPortable), like the name implies, is a portable Playstation. A PSP is a gadget that has games that you can play. Sometimes it can even store songs or videos or pictures. Sometimes you can even use the internet with it too. I have a PSP too, just so you’d know.

Another common gadget that we have is the Television.

The television is a gadget that we use to watch shows or other things that entertain us. It can also be used to play Xbox or Playstations or Nintendo stuff and other things.

There are a lot more gadgets that are everywhere that help us in our daily lives.

Favorite Cartoon Character

I’ll be honest, I don’t watch many cartoons anymore. I guess I kind of grew up. But my Favorite Cartoon Character would have to be Pikachu.

What? Were you expecting someone else?

I’m sure everyone’s heard of him. Pikachu is one of Ash’s first Pokémon. He looks like this:

 

Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon that has the ability to release electric discharges at will. He’s the only Pokémon Ash kept throughout the entire series and is the only Pokémon he has who (for some reason) doesn’t evolve. I don’t know why Ash never evolved his Pikachu. It’s a mystery I kept wondering to myself throughout my childhood.

Pikachu is one of the best Pokémon Ash ever had, mainly because Pikachu was the first. It’s kind of sad though that all of the other Pokémon Ash had were given away. I’m just glad he kept Pikachu around. Even though Pikachu’s almost completely useless when it came to battling Rock-type Pokémon, Ash still kept him around most of the time. Pikachu never stays inside his poke ball and I can’t say I blame him. After all, could you imagine being stuck inside those things? It must be so cramped inside them.

Facebook or Google+?

Which would you prefer? Facebook or Google+? (That’s another rhetorical question by the way, don’t answer it.)

I’d have to choose Facebook over Google+. Mainly because I’ve never even used Google+ before. Wait here, I’ll search what it is.

Okay, according to Google, Google+ is a social network. Composed of stuff like circles and all that crap I don’t know. BUT, according to some other parts of the internet, Google+ is one of the biggest fails in internet history. Why? Well, only a few people even use it. That’s pretty much it.

Google+ is a product (or project) that Google has made to attempt to make a social network just as good as Facebook. But apparently, they failed to do that. I don’t know if they’re aware of it, but they failed to do so. At least, that’s what some other internet people say about Google+.

I don’t really know much about Google+ so I’m going to go use it after making this blog entry. But I would probably still use Facebook instead. Because I don’t think my Facebook Friends would want to make a google account just to use Google+.

My Best friend

Activity # 26 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

“Everyone has a best friend.” is a statement that is completely and sadly wrong. Not everyone has a best friend. Believe it or not, I don’t have a best friend either. Best friends are usually honest with you, they would never do anything to hurt you and would be by your side through thick or thin. I’ve never met anyone like that. I only have friends. Not a single best friend.

Well, I used to have a best friend. We get into arguments a lot. He would hurt me from time to time, physically and emotionally. He sometimes called me names that was really hurtful. And we almost never got along because of the differences we both had. Sad to say that he’s just a friend now, no different from all my other friends.

There’s a chance he’s probably reading this right now. I don’t want to say bad things about him because he might get angry at me or hate me even more.

Don’t feel sorry for me for not having a best friend. I’m okay with it. A lot of people could live a long and happy life without a best friend. Well, it would be happier if you had a best friend, but I’m not encouraging you to not have one. But life is happy, with or without a best friend.

I really want to talk more about the topic, but I might reveal some personal things that I wouldn’t want the internet to know.

P-Noy

For some of you who don’t know who P-Noy is:

Benigno Aquino III or sometimes referred as Noynoy Aquino or just P-Noy is the current President of the Philippines.

I was born in the Philippines by the way. And that’s why I’m talking about him, although I don’t really know much to talk about him. I mean, he’s the president. Some people usually have a lot to say about the president but like I said in my previous blog entry, I don’t really pay attention to politician things. So, what else do I talk about him?

Well, he’s a great president, I think. He does a lot of good things that help out the country, I think. I don’t really know since I didn’t learn a lot of things about him. Well I did, but I forgot.

Anyways, this blog entry needs to have at least 200 (two hundred words) and I am almost there. I just need to talk a little more. Anyways, President Ninoy Aquino is a good president (according to other people) and I really hope he doesn’t do anything bad. So, that’s all I wanted to talk about. I hope I won’t have to do anything like this again.    

Impeachment Trial 2012

First of all, I don’t really listen to that politician mumbo jumbo crap that’s on TV. It’s too boring and there are a lot of things that aren’t making sense to me.

Okay then, let’s just start off with what I do know. There’s an impeachment trial going on this 2012, obviously. I don’t really know who’s it for, and I don’t really care. Wait, just let me Google it for a second.

*A few minutes later*

Okay, it looks like the Impeachment Trial’s for some guy named Chief Justice Renato Corona or something like that. I’ve never really heard his full name, I just know his last name. I might sound stupid saying this but a few weeks ago, I thought Corona was a place. Wow, I am really stupid. So anyways, I don’t know why he’s getting impeached though (I don’t know a lot of things oaky). But I’m guessing he’s getting impeached because he did something wrong, or something. I’ll Google it again.

*Another few minutes later*

Okay, I’m back. It looks like he’s charged with Graft and Corruption and betrayal of public trust. Wow, what a scumbag this guy is. I’m glad I Googled it. I hope he gets what he deserves.  

Climate Change

Climate Change, it’s a problem to everyone in the world. Climate Change is the thing that happens when the climate changes (whether it’s hot or cold). There are many causes of Climate Change, but I only know one. Pollution. Yes, pollution. What, did you really think throwing garbage everywhere or smoking was going to harm nobody? If you do, then you must be really stupid (or just young).

Climate Change is a danger to everyone. In some places, if the weather gets too hot, people could die. In some other places, if the weather gets too cold, people could still die. I know, everyone dies eventually anyway. How you die is up to you, but I don’t think you would want to die due to Climate Change.

So, if you want my opinion, let’s make a world a better place by not polluting. I mean, just because Climate Change isn’t hurting you, that doesn’t mean it’s not hurting anyone else.

Now, take a good look at what’s happening all over the world. There’s Climate Change right? Extreme temperature and all that Scientific stuff are going all over the news. If this keeps up, the cold parts of the world will melt, and the hot places will burn up, killing everyone in that region.

iPhone or Galaxy Tab?

Which is better? The iPhone or the Galaxy Tab? (That’s a rhetorical question. I’m going to answer it, not you.) If I’d had to pick from one of these two, I’d have to go with the iPhone. Why the iPhone you ask? Because it’s awesome! It’s like a regular phone but with a touch screen and all that other awesomeness it has. And besides, I don’t even know what a Galaxy Tab is? Hmmmm… I wonder.

Well, according to the internet, the Galaxy Tab looks kind of like the iPhone. I guess Samsung made it or something like that. I haven’t even used it yet so I don’t really know which is better. But I’m going to have to go with the iPhone.

I don’t really know what else to write, but according to my teacher, I have to write at least 200 words for every blog entry (I just broke the 4th wall again, I think). But it looks like I already reached 200 words. So anyways, buy the iPhone! Or the Galaxy Tab. It’s your choice. (Pssst! Pick the iPhone!)

Cars

Activity # 21 (James Rodeo B. Ty)
Cars. Yes, cars. You know, those things grown-up people ride on everyday. And now I have to talk about them because my teacher told me so. (Did I just break the 4th wall?)
Anyways, what are cars? Like I said above, cars are a type of automobile that takes one person, or a group of people from one place to another. There are a lot of different kinds of cars. There’s, um, the red one, the blue one, and the silver one! (Just kidding, but seriously, I don’t know what are the different kinds of cars)
Cars aren’t really my favorite kind of thing. Although it’s better to ride a car than walk. But cars have their pros and cons.
Pros:
1. You don’t have to get tired of walking.
2. You’re protected from rain.
3. Even if your car isn’t working, you get to sit down.
Cons:
1. They pollute the air.
2. Cars take up a lot of space, so traffic would be everywhere.
3. It’s easier to learn how to walk than to learn how to drive a car.
4. Learning how to drive may cause some problems or accidents.
5. Running over someone with a car hurts a lot more than running on top of someone.
Cars are both helpful and cause problems at the same time. Which is why I’m glad I don’t drive one.
