My Dream Pet

Activity # 19 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

What’s my Dream Pet? Okay, first of all, I don’t really get what “Dream Pet” means. Is it the pet of your dreams or is it the pet that you dream about at night? I think they both mean the same thing, so let’s just forget about that.

A lot of people like to have a pet that’s a cat or a dog or something close to that. I can’t really pick between animals. I like them all equally, well, not really. I guess I’m going to have to pick a tiger. Why a tiger? I don’t know if I’m the only but I think they’re cute. Well, if you get past the fact they might eat you or slaughter you or anything like it, they could make great pets. They have really soft fur that would make a great blanket (I’m not saying I’m going to shear his fur or anything). If you train them really well, they could let you ride on top of them. They’re perfect for protection too. If you’re getting picked on at school, you’re tiger could come in and come to the rescue.

Obviously my parents won’t allow me to keep a tiger in the house. But I hope someday they would change they’re mind and let me keep one.

My Favorite PC Game

Activity # 18 (James Rodeo B. Ty)
My favorite PC Game, wow. Where do I begin with this? To be honest, I actually have more than one. But let’s just start with the ones I’ve played recently.
My recent favorite is Final Fantasy 6. The first time I played it was a few years ago. It’s a classic that people rarely play nowadays. The game’s graphics isn’t really the best. But I don’t play it for the graphics, I play it for the fun. And the plot too. The game’s plot was about a resistance called “Returners” and some other people fight against the evil Empire. But as you continue to play the game, you start to slowly realize that the villain isn’t the Empire. It was actually this crazy guy named Kefka. I don’t want to spoil the game so you’re just going to have to play it yourself. Another thing that made me like the game was the characters. The game had like 12 playable characters. It was a really colorful cast. You start out with a female sorceress (or whatever you want to call it) and then she meets up with a treasure hunter/thief who turns out to be friends with a womanizing king who is related to some muscular brawler who gets lost and meets an assassin who has a troubling past. And so on and so forth, the characters were really enjoyable and had different personalities.
Another PC game that I like is Chrono Trigger. It’s an RPG just like Final Fantasy. The story was mainly about a group of people from different time periods who work together to defeat an alien-like monster. It was really fun to play and I suggest that you play it too. At first, I thought the game was just going to be one of those boring run-around-and-kill-all-the-bad-guys kind of game. But it was different. I’m not going to spoil anything here either so you’re just going to have to play it to find out what I mean. Other than that, you could time travel too! Wow! Time travel! That’s so cool!
One last game that I liked to play was Tales of Phantasia. In my opinion, it was one the best that I’ve ever played. It was an RPG too but the battle system was WAY different from the 3 above. Unlike Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, instead of just standing idly in one place waiting to be given commands, this time you play in such a different way. I don’t really know how to describe it, you’re just going to have to play it yourself to find out.
I have so much more to add, but unfortunately, I’m only allowed to talk about my Favorite PC games. So maybe next time, I’ll talk about my favorite Xbox game (yes I have one) or my favorite PSP game (I have one of that too).

Computer Class

Activity #17 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

Computer happens to be one of my favorite subjects in school. Although I did terrible last quarter because I couldn’t submit my final project, it’s still my favorite subject nonetheless. Some people don’t like it. I actually do. Why do I like it? First of all, it doesn’t require much work. Well, it does, but not any physical strenuous kind of work. All it needs is a computer, and some thinking and some time too. Second, the class is mostly quiet, which I like a lot. I’m not really into those classes that are noisy and loud. It’s hard to concentrate that way. Although I like music in the background, people singing right behind me is okay too, but it doesn’t help me in my work. Third, I like using computers. That’s pretty much it.

Sometimes I don’t like the computer class. The only thing that makes me not like it is the fact that sometimes you need to do your work at home. So I kind of rush to finish things at school. I like doing blogs at school. It’s quieter there than at home. I’d rather listen to Adele singing than listen to my little sister watching “Carebears” over and over and over again. It’s just way easier when it’s quiet, or at least not listening to something distracting.

Computer class to me is the best. But that’s just my opinion. Well, that’s all for this blog entry.

PS: How do you like the new Magic 8 Ball?

PPS: Can you think of any other way to make blogs more interactive?

PPPS: It would help if you gave the link.

My Favorite Food

Activity #16 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

What is my Favorite Food? Wow, what a topic. Where should I begin with it? Okay, first of all, I can’t really decide which is my favorite food. In my opinion, it should be more like, which food do I hate the least.

So anyways, I’ll just get straight to the point. I LOVE McDonald’s! I mean, sure, the food there is processed and have a lot of artificial preservatives or something, but I can’t help but love their food. I love their fries, I love their burgers, their fried chicken, pretty much everything they have. Except for their vegetables. I just hate vegetables. I know it sounds immature, but if you’ve already noticed my background image, I think you should have seen this coming.

McDonald’s fast food isn’t the only thing that I like. I kind of like mashed potato. Not the ones you make at home, the ones you find at KFC or the ones you find at the school cafeteria. But I think I only liked it because of the gravy. Come to think of it, I like dipping things in gravy. I like dipping fries and burgers in them. It just tastes so much better with them.

As much as I love McDonald’s, my parents don’t allow me to eat too much of their food. I think it was because that it wasn’t healthy for me if I did. I know they’re right, but I just can’t help but wish that they weren’t.

My Favorite Sport

Activity #15 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

Okay, I have to be honest here, I don’t really have a favorite sport. Why? Because, I don’t really play sports that much. My body is not just used to doing physical activities for a long period of time. But I like some sports.

I like to swim. I don’t know if it’s considered a sport but it’s a physical activity. When I was little, I loved to swim. But as I grew up I began to like it less. I became more insecure about myself and, well, I get cold a lot so…

I play badminton. Or, I used to play badminton. I used to be so good. But I think I still am. The last time I played was, I don’t know, 2 years ago I think. Some of my classmates from STI said that I could be good. COULD be good. I haven’t played it ever since.

I think I like volleyball. It looks fun to play and I am willing to learn how to play it more. But I never did learn. I wish I could play better with it. But I screw up with the service and all that.

And last, but definitely the least (to me), Basketball. Oh, basketball, where do I begin with it? Okay, first, I hate basketball. Sorry, I just do. More than any other sport. Why? Because, it required multitasking, which I’m not very good at. What do I mean by multitasking? Well, basketball required running, dribbling, and keeping alert. See? And besides, I am terrible at all three of those things. So basketball, not my favorite.

Sports aren’t really my thing, so don’t be surprised if I’m not good. But I hope I find a sport I am good at. Or at least, a sport I’m not terrible at.

LOVE…

Activity #14 (James Rodeo B. Ty)

What is love? Love? Love is an emotion, a feeling every living thing experiences. How does one experience this? Well, that is a mystery. Love can be defined in many ways. It depends on the living thing that feels it.

They say only human beings can feel this emotion. I don’t believe that. I believe anything that lives, can feel. And anything that can feel, can be loved or can show love.

I still haven’t answered the question. What is love? Like I said, love is defined in many ways. To some, love is just an emotion. To others, love is an incredible, awesome feeling that people can experience. Me? Well, I can’t really define love. Love is something that can’t be just explained through words. Sometimes you have to show it through actions.

Examples of love you ask? Okay… So let’s say there’s a mother and her child. The mother cares for her child through day and night. No matter what is happening, she always puts the child’s needs before hers. Although the child doesn’t do exactly the same, he cares for his mother and always stays with her. That is love. Another one? A teenage boy rescued a dog from the pound. Ever since then, the dog and the boy have been through many things together. Life, obstacles, hardships… But no matter what, they stay together. The dog stays by loyally with his master and the boy takes care of the dog. The dog does the same and aids the boy all the same. This is another kind of love. You want more?

This one is long. A young girl was lost in the forest. As night came, she started to get sad, lonely and cold. She found shelter in a cave and hid there. She fell asleep and was awoken by the sound of footsteps. In front of her was wolf. Although she was scared, she tried to remain calm because she knew, panicking will only make the situation worse. The girl stayed in the corner while the wolf just stared at her. The wolf got closer and hugged the girl. The wolf’s fur was warm and kept them both warm. They both fell asleep. The next day, the girl and the wolf left the cave. The wolf started howling and lead the girl to the road. She was then taken back home by a passing by car. She never wouldn’t have left the forest alive if it wasn’t for the wolf. The girl took the wolf home and took care of him. Many questioned her for keeping a wild animal as a pet. She didn’t care. The wolf saved her life, and she was to do the same and care for the wolf. This was another kind of love.

I know the stories were long, I apologize for that. But that’s how love is. It’s not supposed to be something short. It lasts for a long time. Me? I ‘m already loved. My parents, my siblings, and some of my friends too. Thank you for reading.
